Superform

Our bendable plywood
Description

Our three-layer flexible plywood is made from exotic hardwood CEIBA (ceiba pentandra) using waterproof adhesives.

Due to its spongy structure and the use of appropriate glue, its fibers can be easily compressed and stretched, allowing it to bend.

In short, Superform shines where curves and other rounded shapes are required
while being light, waterproof and strong.

Depending on the source of the wood, its color can range from light, similar to poplar or birch, to reddish, similar to beech plywood.

Bending: Flexible plywood can be bent in one direction (unidirectional) and therefore comes in two versions: along the grain and across the grain, enabling the creation of various curved forms according to designer requirements.

Thickness & Layers: It is produced in three thicknesses: 3, 5, and 8 mm. It consists of three layers (a thin core and two thick veneers glued at 90 degrees to each other).

Flexibility: The bending capability results from the wood fiber structure and the use of an appropriate adhesive that maintains flexibility.

Strength: Despite its flexibility, flexible plywood retains high strength and stability. However, it cannot be used for structural load-bearing elements
